Questions worth asking

Do I have to install anything on my client's site?

No. Everything works from the address alone. That is deliberate — “give me the URL” is a far easier ask than getting a client's developer to deploy code.

Will this wake me up at 3am for nothing?

A problem has to happen three times in a row before anyone is told, and two clean checks in a row before we call it fixed. Fourteen of the twenty things we look for are shown to you and never sent anywhere.

What happens when you cannot check something?

We say so. A check that could not run is never reported as healthy, and never counted towards an uptime figure. “We do not know” is a real answer here.

Can I put my own name on it?

Yes. The status page and the reports carry your logo, your colour and your agency's name. Your client never sees ours.
